Akai Ito ~ The Best School Romance JDrama this season ^^

Akai Ito

Akai Ito

Two months ago, these JDrama files were piling in my hard disk drives. However started from 2 weeks ago, I decided to watch this Jdrama. Not because I wanted to watch it, but it was for wasting my time and giving away my boredom. However after I finished watching the first episode, I knew that this Jdrama has a great potential to draw a lot of attention. After a little searching on the dramawiki at d-addicts, it seemed that the rating of “Akai Ito” was only up to 10 percent maximum, low to average rating in Japan. I didn’t know what was wrong with japanese people preferences. Because when I watched the first episode, there was something being “clicked” on my mind.

Akai Ito, in English, meansĀ  a red thread of fate that connects someone with the other one as a destined lover. It was also one of the best-selling novels in Japan on 2007. The story is about the red thread of fate connecting the pair of young Mei and young Atsushi with all of the trials that will face them in the future. There are some parts of the story when they meet each other in the past. However most parts of the story tell the present of Atsushi(Mizobata Junpei) and Mei(Minamisawa Nao). There are a lot of new actors and actresses that play in this drama, but they can create a good series. With a lot of characters in this series, such as Mei’s friends, Atsushi’s friends, and their parents, there are many parts of the story which are related to each other. Even though it’s only 37 minutes per episode, Akai Ito can tell many scenes that revolves around them. Akai Ito has 11 episodes as a series and 1 Movie. The timeline of this serial is began with first and second episode, followed by the movie, which was premiered on 20 December 2008, and finished with third until eleventh episode.

In conclusion, this Jdrama is a must to see!!!, because the camera angle of each episode is very good, and it feels like watching the movie version. Probably, it is because they shot the serial for the movie as well. I really like their roles too. Every actor/actress can play their characters nicely. Ok, now I need to watch the last three episodes, but I have to wait in the next few days after TimeLesSub releases their last episode. Moreover do not worry about its rating, because, in my opinion, this is the best romance Jdrama of this season. Enjoy it minna san ^^
